Ala Wai School second-graders Evon Diep, left, and Kailani Kaawa today harvested cabbages for St. Patrick’s Day. Throughout the year, the students tend to a garden. Sometimes the vegetables become part of the students’ school lunch, and sometimes they get to take them home. (via The Honolulu Advertiser)
In addtion to the oceanlife, I sometimes fear the vegetation here is going to conquer us humans, which I’m not always entirely opposed to. But seriously, that cabbage looks like it is going to devour that little girl.
